A 3-year-old boy found wandering in the cold in Shawnee early this morning was reunited with his parents, police said.
The boy, dressed in pajamas and wearing no coat or shoes, was found by two women around 4:30 a.m. near an apartment complex at 63rd Street and Cottonwood where his family had been staying with relatives, police said.
The boy’s parents were located soon after he was discovered, police said. They said he was cold but not injured and that it was unlikely he had been outside long. Temperatures were in the teens with wind chills around zero at the time he was found.
