Kellogg Drive reopened after suspicious package deemed harmless

WICHITA — Wichita police have reopened a section of Kellogg Drive in east Wichita after determining that a suspicious package found at a business contained no explosives.

Emergency dispatchers said the package was dropped off at a FedEx center in the 7700 block of East Kellogg Drive shortly before 4 p.m. Wichita police said workers became suspicious because of some comments made by the man who left the package.

Dispatchers said Kellogg Drive between Armour and Rock Road was closed for more than two hours before the Wichita Police Department's bomb squad determined that the package was harmless.
