Copper wire, pipes taken from west-side building

Wichita police are investigating a burglary of the old Rowdy Beaver building at 656 S. West St.

Police were called to the building shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to Lt. Steve Kenney, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

Police were notified of the burglary after a person going to do repair work discovered the back door had been pried open and an undetermined number of copper wires and pipes had been cut and taken from the premises.
