A man who died Friday night after his motorcycle collided with a truck on South Oliver was 49 years old.
Sgt. Steve Yarberry said police were not yet releasing the man's name.
Yarberry said the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Oliver with a 25-year-old female passenger when he collided with a truck going southbound on Oliver.
The motorcyclist and passenger were thrown from the bike.
Emergency workers pronounced the man dead at the scene. They transported the woman to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition, but doctors later upgraded her condition.
