KCK man stabbed during fight in downtown Lawrence

A Kansas City, Kan., man was stabbed several times during a fight at Liberty Hall on Massachusetts Street in Lawrence.

The 20-year-old was stabbed during a large fight that a Lawrence police officer saw early this morning. The fight spilled into the street and the officer intervened.

After the crowd dispersed, the officer learned of the stabbing victim who had been taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Police contacted the victim there and he was later transported to a Kansas City area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
