K-State headed to Pinstripe Bowl

Kansas State is headed to the Pinstripe Bowl to play Syracuse.

The school has called a news conference for 1 p.m. today to formally announce the news. It will be the Wildcats' first bowl game since 2006, when it played in the Texas Bowl.

The Pinstripe Bowl is a new postseason game that will be played at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Yankee Stadium in New York.

Syracuse (7-5) accepted an invitation to the bowl game yesterday. In a few hours, Kansas State (7-5) will do the same.
