County to hear details of downtown plan

WICHITA — City and county planning director John Schlegel will present a plan today to Sedgwick County commissioners that outlines the revitalization of downtown Wichita.

Commissioners are expected to discuss but not yet vote on the plan, developed by planning consultants Goody Clancy and unveiled to the public Tuesday night.

Commissioners also will consider a $40,000 forgivable loan to Cargill Meat Solutions and hear a quarterly report from the Sedgwick County Extension Service.

The board meets at 9 a.m. in its chambers on the third floor of the Courthouse, 525 N. Main.
