Search for two robbery suspects continues

WICHITA - Authorities are looking for two men who robbed Tee Pee’s Smoke Shop near downtown on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at 2:20 p.m. at the shop at 219 E. Murdock, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. One of the robbers brandished a black handgun during the robbery.

A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputy in an unmarked car spotted the vehicle linked to the robbers – a white 1980s Cadillac with tinted windows – and a brief pursuit ensued. Our news partners at KFDI report that the suspects hit the deputy’s car and two others at Pawnee and Seneca, where one of the suspects bailed out of the vehicle.

The other suspect continued east in the Cadillac and escaped.
