A 25-year-old Texas man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a drug charge.
Felix Ismael Ledesma of El Paso admitted to possessing cocaine with intent to distribute it, authorities said. Ledesma was stopped by a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper on Jan. 9 in Pratt.
A search of Ledesma’s 2000 Ford Mustang uncovered four kilograms of cocaine worth more than $50,000, authorities said. The drugs were hidden in a false compartment in the rear of the car.
