A Great Bend man has died in a one-vehicle crash in Reno County, authorities said.
A caller reported seeing a vehicle in a field north of the intersection of K-14 and K-96 at about 7:30 a.m., Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson said. Undersheriff Sheldon Stewart found a heavily damaged Ford F-150 about a quarter-mile north of the intersection, and a man's body several feet north of the vehicle.
The evidence suggests the pickup was coming north on K-14 and did not stop at the intersection with K-96. The vehicle crossed the road onto Sego Road, went out of control and into a wheat field.
The pickup rolled several times, ejecting the driver, 72-year-old Dewey D. Haddon of Great Bend.
