Woman robs T.J. Maxx on West Kellogg

Wichita police were searching Sunday for a woman they believe may haverobbed the T.J. Maxx store on West Kellogg.

The robbery was reported shortly after 9:15 p.m. Saturday, according to

Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

"She entered the T.J. Maxx store indicating she had a handgun and

demanding money," Yarberry said. "The clerk gave the suspect money and

she left on foot in an unknown direction."

The suspected is described as an African-American woman in her

20s, weighing 250 pounds and about 5 foot 6 inches tall. She was last

seen wearing a gray shirt, tan pants, a plaid jacket and had a blue

bandanna over her face.

Yarberry said no one was injured in the robbery.
