KU library opens new space to meet students' needs

LAWRENCE | One of the main libraries at the University of Kansas is trying to provide students everything they need in the same area.

The area at the Anschutz Library is called the Learning Studio.

The university says the Learning Studio has space for students to work on laptops, lounge in new furniture, get help from librarians, buy coffee, practice presentations, meet with tutors and get writing help.

One of the first things students see as they enter the library is an information desk. Various people staff it, including a reference librarian and an information technology student.
