The owner of a Wichita flight management company plans to talk to Sedgwick County commissioners today about the "business side of aviation."
Commissioners are scheduled to hear the report from David Dewhirst, owner of Sabris Corporation, at their meeting today.
The board also will consider making a $25,000 forgivable loan to TECT Power, which makes parts for the aviation and construction industries. TECT plans to hire 26 full-time equivalent employees in Wichita in the next five years and invest more than $2.7 million in machinery, equipment and building improvements.
The company would use the loan to help upgrade equipment and refurbish its facility on Southwest Boulevard. County staff is recommending approval of the loan.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the board's chambers on the third floor of the courthouse, 525 N. Main.
