WICHITA — The Department of Anthropology at Wichita State University is hosting a memorial for Lowell D. Holmes on Oct. 23.
The memorial will take place at 1:30 p.m. in room 100 of Lindquist Hall.
Holmes was the department's founder and professor of anthropology at WSU. The event includes tours of the Department of Anthropology and the Lowell D. Holmes Museum facilities in Neff Hall.
The event is open to the public.
Holmes died Aug. 31 following an extended illness. He was 85.
