A man who had 19 prior convictions for illegal driving made it a little easier for police to catch him on what could be his 20th.
Eric Hayden, 28, was charged Monday with felony driving while revoked, plus resisting arrest. Police say Hayden was pulled over June 20 in Kansas City for an illegal turn but fled on foot. Officers were unable to catch him, but found his Missouri identification card in the car.
Police say Hayden admitted that he had run away after the June stop because he knew he was revoked and didn't want to go to jail.
It was not immediately clear if he had hired an attorney.
Prosecutors say Hayden has 19 convictions for driving while revoked, driving while suspended or driving without a license.
