WICHITA — The 19-year-old man who was shot in the leg while driving early Sunday morning in Wichita remains hospitalized today in fair condition.
The victim told police he was shot in the left thigh in the 2600 block of North Piatt after he had been in a verbal argument about driving too fast down the street.
Police arrested and booked a 29-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle.
Three other people were inside the victim's car when the shooting occurred — two 19-year-old women and a 24-year-old man, police said. They were not hurt.
The shooting victim is being treated at Wesley Medical Center.
