Motorcycle crash injures Wichita man

A 27-year-old Wichita man has been hospitalized after a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Troy Holeman was taking the ramp from northbound I-135 to southbound I-235 when his motorcycle struck a drainage grate just after midnight and he lost control of his motorcycle.

The 1984 Yamaha overturned, and Holeman was injured. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, authorities said.

He was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis for treatment, where he is in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
