Man shot after argument for driving too fast

A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg while driving Sunday morning inthe 2600 block of North Piatt.

The victim told police he was shot by a man after he had been in averbal argument about driving too fast down the street, according toSgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

Police arrested and booked a 29-year-old man on suspicion of aggravatedbattery, aggravated assault and criminal discharge of a firearm at anoccupied vehicle.

Three other people were inside the victim's car when the shootingoccurred - two 19-year-old women and a 24-year-old man, Yarberrysaid.

The victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center and treated for a gunshotwound to his left thigh. No other injuries were reported.
