Gov. Parkinson to speak in Wichita this morning

WICHITA — Gov. Mark Parkinson will be in Wichita this morning to address the Nonprofit Chamber of Service.

Parkinson is the keynote speaker at the group's "Neighbor Helping Neighbor Appreciation Breakfast" at Wichita State University's Marcus Welcome Center. He is expected to speak at 9:30 a.m.

Parkinson is scheduled to speak about the value of the nonprofit sector and its leadership in promoting neighbor helping neighbor. The chamber also will recognize the governor for his public service career.

The breakfast is sponsored in part by WSU's Cooperative Education.
