WICHITA — Members of PETA will hold a protest today at Second and Mead in Old Town.
Two PETA members will take a shower at noon to illustrate that going vegan is a good way to save water. PETA maintains that the production of meat wastes water and reduces the state's sustainable water supply.
On its website, PETA — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — says it is the largest animal rights organization in the world with more than 2 million members and supporters.
