With all the road and ramp closures near the Paseo Bridge, there’s finally a little good news today.
Highway crews will open the on-ramp from the Paseo to northbound Interstate 29/35 following the evening rush hour.
The ramp has been closed since Aug. 11, 2008 because of work on the new Missouri River bridge and the widening of the interstate from downtown to just north of Armour Road/Missouri 210.
The $245 million road and bridge project is within a year of wrapping up. The new Christopher S. Bond Bridge is expected to open to limited northbound traffic in October. The entire project is supposed to be done by next June.
