Streets around the Old Sedgwick County Courthouse were closed for several hours early this morning after a bag was found in a restroom of the downtown building, authorities said.
The bomb squad was called to the scene, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said, and underwent more than three hours of careful preparation and positioning. The duffel bag contained clothes, a car charger and an MP3 player.
Someone had apparently left behind a workout bag, the supervisor said. Streets were reopened shortly after 3:30 a.m.
