Motorists who depend on eastbound Interstate 70 to get into downtown Kansas City will need to be on the lookout for road work today.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., eastbound I-70 over the Kansas River in Wyandotte County will be reduced to two lanes for bridge repairs. Motorists also will need to look out for some key ramp closures, too.
The ramps from Fairfax Avenue to eastbound I-70 and from Washington Boulevard to eastbound I-70 will be closed. Marked detours will be provided for drivers.
The $127,000 project is expected to be done by early next month.
