WICHITA _ The two leading Republican candidates for the open U.S. Senate seat from Kansas will debate twice in two days in Wichita.
Congressmen Jerry Moran and Todd Tiahrt will take part in a 30-minute debate, starting at 6:30 p.m. today and broadcast live by KWCH, Channel 12.
A third GOP candidate in the Aug. 3 primary, Mound City accountant Tom Little will also take part. Overland Park attorney Robert Londerholm, the fourth Republican in the race, has told the station he will not participate.
Moran and Tiahrt will be the only candidates in a debate starting at noon Tuesday. The event at the Hyatt Regency Wichita is sponsored by the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce.
