Autopsy planned for woman who died at jail

WICHITA — The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said it is awaiting autopsy results to determine how a 48-year-old jail inmate died Saturday night.

The woman, Carolyn Stoner, was found unresponsive in the booking area of the Sedgwick County jail. She was transported by EMS to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis and pronounced dead at 10:51 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said autopsy results could take two to three months.
