KCK police ask for help identifying rings found with human bones

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department's major case unit is requesting the public's help in identifying several items found with human bones on May 7.

The bones and items were found in the 1700 block of North 51st Terrace. The bones are those of a white or Asian female between the ages of 33 and 56. She was between 5-feet-5 and 5-feet-7, police said, and wore a dark brown wig at the time of her death.

She was wearing artificial fingernails and three rings _ one with a gold or white metal band and two white or silver metal rings.

She was murdered sometime between 1995 and 2005, police said.
