Dog swim at College Hill pool to benefit Kansas Humane Society

The Kansas Humane Society and College Hill Pool, 304 S. Circle Drive, invite dogs to try wading, paddling, swimming and diving during their Dogs Days of Summer event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Owners can wade only knee-deep with their dogs in the shallow end of the pool or let the dogs jump by themselves into the deep end. Contests include long jump, Frisbee catch and largest and smallest dog.

Admission is a donation of $10 per dog (limit two dogs per owner), with proceeds benefiting the Kansas Humane Society. Attendees will get free dog treats from Bradley's Bones and help support the Humane Society's efforts to win the ASPCA $100K Challenge.

All dogs must be leashed when not in the pool or participating in contests and current on all vaccinations, including rabies.
