Two teens arrested after shotgun blast toward trio

WICHITA — Three teens escaped injury when a shotgun blast was fired in their direction at about midnight on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred in the 1800 block of South Seneca. The three teenagers — one 18, the other two 17 — said two other teens they knew pulled up in a white Chevy S-10. One of the teens in the pickup then fired a shotgun toward them before they left.

No injuries or damage was reported. Police located the two suspects, ages 16 and 17, and one of them had a shotgun with him. They were booked into the juvenile detention facility.
