Drivers in Overland Park are going to take a major hit starting Saturday morning.
Road crews will close the intersection of Antioch Road and College Boulevard for 10 days as part of an $8.3 million project to widen Antioch to six lanes.
The closure starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and will run until Aug. 10. The closure will affect more than 40,000 vehicles that use the interchange daily.
The closure could affect thousands of employees who work at the nearby Corporate Woods office park as well as variety of other retail stores in that area.
Drivers who need to go east-west are urged to use Interstate 435 while motorists who need to go north-south should use Metcalf Avenue.
