WICHITA — The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into a stolen Gino Salerno wood-carved statue, although the statue was returned this morning to its owner, Marge Page.
A woman driving by a home in the 600 block of North Fountain saw the statue on the front porch. Recognizing the junior golf boy statue from a photo in The Wichita Eagle, she reported it. Sheriff's officers returned the statue to Page this morning.
Page first noticed the statue of a junior golf boy was missing from her home on June 30. The statue, valued at $3,500, is part of a pair of junior golf statues — one boy and one girl — that Page owns.
