Tom Bloch, son of H&R Block co-founder Henry Bloch, has told the tax preparation firm he plans to step down as a direction in September.
Bloch submitted his resignation in a letter to the company's board. He will leave the board after his term expires on Sept. 30, which is the date of the company's annual meeting.
Bloch left Kansas City-based Block's management a number of year's ago to pursue a career as a teacher.
