DUI checkpoint in KC yields 14 arrests

A Kansas City sobriety checkpoint Friday night and early this morning netted 14 DUI arrests, police said.

Police and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies stopped 298 vehicles at East 70th Street and Troost Avenue.

Arrests also were made for driving with revoked or suspended licenses, marijuana possession, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest and other traffic violations, police said.
