Sheila Blair, chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and a University of Kansas graduate, will give this year's Dole Lecture on April 19 on the KU campus.
The annual event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 7:30 p.m. It will be at the Dole Institute of Politics.
A native of Independence, Blair received her bachelor and law degrees from KU in the 1970s. She has headed the FDIC since June 2006.
The lecture series is named for former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole.
