WICHITA — Acting on repeated calls from residents, police arrested five women and cited them with prostitution-related charges.
Wichita police said more than a dozen calls to 911 prompted officers to conduct an "impromptu sting" from the 900 through the 1200 blocks of North Broadway and Market.
Using undercover officers and unmarked vehicles, police arrested the women, ranging in age from 26 to 38, between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. today.
One 32-year-old woman was also cited for possessing a dangerous weapon, because she carried a knife.
