The 2010 Kansas-Kansas State football game has been moved from Saturday, Oct. 16, to Thursday, Oct. 14, and will be nationally televised on Fox Sports Net.
Kickoff in Lawrence is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
“It is exciting for this in-state rivalry to be featured nationally with the television exposure of a Thursday night game on FSN,” said KU athletic director Lew Perkins. “This telecast will showcase the city of Lawrence and our great university.”
The game will fall during KU's fall break, so students will not have class on Thursday or Friday of that week.

KU and K-State also announced Tuesday that a new Sunflower Showdown series between the schools will be sponsored by Dillon's, the Kansas-based grocery store chain. Dillon's will have naming rights to the schools' meetings in football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and volleyball for the next two years. Points and standings will not be kept.
