A statewide bus tour that seeks to preserve and promote early childhood programs will make a stop in Wichita on Friday.
The Kansas Promise tour, being hosted by Kansas Action for Children and the Kansas Coalition for School Readiness, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday at TOP North Early Childhood Center, 2330 N. Opportunity Drive.
The tour is designed to raise awareness about the importance of programs such as Early Head Start, Parents as Teachers, Smart Start and pre-kindergarten. At each stop, supporters gather to hear comments from local and state leaders on the impact of early childhood programs.
