Lose a cockatiel? He's at the Eagle Valley Raptor Center

It's not the normal bird rescue Ken Lockwood, director of the Eagle Valley Raptor Center near Cheney, normally goes out on.

But Tuesday he was called to rescue a white cockatiel, found near the Scotch & Sirloin restaurant near Kellogg and Oliver.

Lockwood said Wednesday that the bird is now at the Eagle Valley Raptor Center and in good condition. He has been feeding it fruits and vegetables.

"It's somebody's bird; he sits on my hand," Lockwood said. "He belongs to somebody."

If someone is searching for their lost cockatiel, they can call Lockwood at 316-542-9981.
