Two overnight one-car accidents on both sides of the state line killed two people, according to police.
Kansas City, Kan., police reported a woman was killed about 4 a.m. today when the northbound Chevy Blazer she was a passenger in crashed near 55th Street and Oak Grove Road.
The driver and several other passengers were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither the victim nor other passengers were identified by police.
The report indicated the Blazer was northbound on 55th Street approaching Oak Grove Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The other fatal accident occurred about 4:50 a.m. today in Kansas City near the interchange of interstates 70 and 435.
One person, who was believed to be the only one in the vehicle, was killed and the vehicle caught fire. No other details were available.
