A dispute between cousins resulted in a stabbing that sent a man to a local hospital early this morning, police said.
The argument between the two men, ages 26 and 47, broke out shortly after 1 a.m. at a house in the 700 block of North St. Paul, police said. A witness told officers the men went upstairs, where the disagreement escalated until the older man reportedly stabbed the victim three times: twice in the arm and once in the side.
The victim was taken to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus for treatment of injuries that police said are not life-threatening. The suspect has been arrested and transported to the Sedgwick County Jail.
