Wichita police are investigating an early morning robbery of a downtown convenience store.
Police say the incident occurred shortly before 2:45 a.m. Sunday. A man entered a Kwik Shop in the 2800 block of East Douglas and implied he had a gun. He demanded cash and fled when the clerk gave him a small amount of money, said Sgt. Donald Kimball of the Wichita Police Department.
"No gun was actually seen," Kimball said.
Police say the suspect is black, approximately 45 years old and was last seen wearing glasses, a black jacket, black shirt and blue jeans. He also had a goatee and earring in his left ear.
