Snowplow driver hit by semi carrying meat on I-70

A snowplow driver on Interstate 70 in Topeka was injured this afternoon when he was struck by a semi-truck.

It was unknown how serious the Kansas Department of Transportation worker’s injuries were. He was transported to a hospital.

The semi-truck was carrying a load of meat.

The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Kansas Department of Agriculture as well as other law enforcement agencies are investigating. A patrol dispatcher said further details would be released later today.
