MCPHERSON — A McPherson High School teacher and coach has been charged with four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor for illicit purposes.
McPherson County Attorney David Page confirmed he filed the charges Thursday against Todd D. Brittingham, 25, who has been accused of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old female student.
The complaint alleges Brittingham, an English teacher and soccer coach, had sex with the girl between May and July 2009, including on June 22, when he's also accused of giving her alcohol.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 15.
