WICHITA — A public forum featuring state legislators serving south-central Kansas will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Suderman Room of Wichita State University's Metroplex at 29th Street North and Oliver.
The event will provide information about the 2010 Kansas legislative session and an opportunity for the public to ask questions.
During the first hour, several legislators will give presentations regarding the work of various committees. That session will also include a brief overview of the state budget picture, including the recent news of an unexpected $71 million shortfall in February tax collections.
The second hour will be set aside for the public to submit written questions for the legislative panel.
