CEO of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters resigning

WICHITA — Dawn DeArmond, the president and CEO of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, will step down within the next year, according to a news release today from the organization.

DeArmond, who has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than 20 years, said she will remain active in the organization as a volunteer and consultant. She was named to her current role in August 2005.

Bill Hanna, chairman of the group's board, said DeArmond will "remain fully engaged" as president and CEO during the search for a new leader, according to the release.

The search committee will be headed by Hanna and includes board members, volunteers and donors as well as a representative from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
