ATCHISON | Two Atchison men face counterfeiting charges after being arrested in a raid earlier this week.
Atchison police say the men, 28-year-old Michael P. McGuire and 36-year-old Norman Ford, were arrested Tuesday night during a raid by Atchison officers and agents from the Secret Service.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says counterfeit $10 and $20 bills started showing up around the northeastern Kansas community last summer. The U.S. attorney's office has been contacted because counterfeiting is a federal crime.
