Kansas City police say the man killed in a shooting early Saturday morning was Randy L. Wilson, 21, of Kansas City.
According to police, Wilson apparently was shot while riding in a car with several other people. He was driven to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
Occupants of the car told police they had been driving near the intersection of Linwood Boulevard and Gillham Plaza when Wilson was shot from outside the vehicle. The driver believed that an oncoming car had fired the shots, police said.
Wilson is the fourth Kansas City homicide victim of 2010, police said. There are no suspects in custody and police ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
