WICHITA — A 16-year-old boy arrested after a gang fight Friday night later revealed to authorities that he had been stabbed five times.
He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, police Sgt. Steven Yarberry said today.
The gang fight happened around 11 p.m. Friday near 29th and Fairview, a few blocks west of Broadway.
Four boys fought another group of teenagers who police say were all gang members.
When police arrived, one group had fled.
Two 16-year-olds and a 13-year-old were arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility.
There, one of the 16-year-old boys revealed he had been stabbed five times in the abdomen, Yarberry said.
Police were still trying to find whoever stabbed him.
