Police find drugs at home where robbery occurred

WICHITA — A 19-year-old man lost several hundred dollars in an armed robbery at a home in southeast Wichita late Wednesday night — and then he was cited for drug possession by police.

Two armed men kicked in the back door of the house in the 7000 block of East Bayley, southeast of Lincoln and Woodlawn, at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

They took a large amount of cash from the 19-year-old man, who was there with a 23-year-old woman, an infant girl and a 9-year-old girl.

During the follow-up investigation, police found drugs at the house and issued a notice to appear in court to the man.

Both suspects were dressed in black clothing and wore black masks, the victims told police. One of them is a white man about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. The second is a black man about 5-feet-8 and 170 pounds.
