Three Kansas cities receive $1.2 million to rehab housing

Eureka, Fort Scott and Iola will share a federal grant of $1.2 million for housing rehabilitation, the Kansas Department of Commerce announced today.

The money will be used to rehabilitate 49 properties and demolish three dilapidated units among the three cities. The cities will receive $400,000 each.

Eureka will provide $25,000 in matching funds, while Fort Scott and Iola will provide $2,000 each.
