WICHITA — A 21-year-old man has been arrested after three people reported being shot at late Monday night in north Wichita.
Two men and a woman told police the suspect fired shots at them shortly after 10 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of East Looman. Officers responding to a call of shots fired pursued a vehicle not far from the location reported.
The driver ran from the car and was apprehended, but police discovered he was a target, not a suspect. Two bullet holes were found in the car.
None of the victims — men ages 28 and 21, and a 19-year-old woman — were injured. Police said the shooting incident appears to be a retaliation for a shooting incident that occurred in the 2400 block of East Minneapolis.
